The Role
We are seeking Catering Attendants and Senior Catering Attendants to join our team at Melbourne Airport. Working in a fast-paced aviation environment, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, packing, and delivering airline catering while ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality, food safety, and presentation.

Senior Catering Attendants will also provide day-to-day support to the team, assist with workflow coordination, and help maintain operational standards during each shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and pack airline meals and catering equipment to customer specifications.
• Load and unload catering carts and equipment for aircraft servicing.
  Ensure all catering items are prepared accurately and delivered on schedule.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.
• Follow HACCP, company procedures, and quality assurance requirements.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, pushing, and moving catering carts and stock.
• Work collaboratively within a fast-paced production and logistics environment.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.

Additional Responsibilities - Senior Catering Attendant

• Support supervisors with daily operational requirements.
• Assist with coordinating workflow and ensuring productivity targets are achieved.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job support to team members.
• Monitor quality standards and assist in maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Selection Criteria

• Previous experience in catering, food production, hospitality, or a similar environment.
• Experience in a leadership or senior team member role is highly desirable for Senior Catering Attendant applicants.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Availability to work across a seven-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and shift work.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
